Basketball: Hamburg Towers lose in the EuroCup at Boulogne Metropolitans in Paris – basketball

Before the trip to Paris, they had a little hope. But in the city of love, the Towers received a lot of blows. At the Boulogne Metropolitans 92, Hamburg’s basketball players lost 62:85 (32:53) in the EuroCup.

Without Justus Hollatz, Trevon Bluiett, Maik Kotsar and Robin Christen, coach Pedro Calles only had ten players available. And they didn’t stand a chance from the start. With the otherwise strong Caleb Homesley (only seven points), almost nothing went well. Lukas Meisner was the best thrower. Calles angry: “We come here for nothing.”

Hendrik Drescher, in particular, must think so. The 21-year-old hit the basket for the first time in the EuroCup. But his points didn’t count because the ball fell in after the final siren.

The only good thing: The Towers remain seventh in Group A (18 points) with a three-point lead over non-playoff-ranked 9th.
