Soccer: From Ukraine and Russia – top players want to play in the Bundesliga – Bundesliga

Fifa allows professionals in the Russian and Ukrainian leagues to leave their clubs immediately and look for new ones. Games are suspended in Ukraine, and Russian clubs are internationally banned.

Are football refugees coming to the Bundesliga because of the Putin war? A club shows interest.

Hertha manager Fredi Bobic (50): “Many players are offered. We’ll see if there’s anything there.”

Names of players offered are also circulating in Dortmund.

► Quincy Promes (Holland/30), left wing at Spartak Moscow, contract until 2024. Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco (36): “I appreciate Promes very much, but we have more than enough people in the position.”

► David Neres (Brazil/25), right winger of the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk until 2026.

► Tetê (Brazil/22), right winger at Shakhtar Donetsk until 2023.

However, Dortmund do not want to bring in players who will only stay until the end of the season.

Mainz boss Christian Heidel confirms that he has been offered several players for nine games, but he has “waved it down”.

The transfer window is valid for players and coaches until April 7th. Two players may be signed per club.
