A male person who was playing basketball on the ejidal court in San Vicente, Nayarit, died Tuesday night, apparently the victim of an acute myocardial infarction.
The man had been playing with his teammates, however, when they were barely agreeing on the next games, the man vanished falling at the foot of where his friends were gathered, who began to help him but unfortunately confirmed that he had already passed away.
The man is preliminarily identified as Víctor Manuel Dueñas Zamora, whom they knew as “El Doc”, who was picked up by personnel from Expert Services to transfer to the SEMEFO facilities.
The municipal authorities announced that the events took place at 11:27 p.m. on Tuesday night, when elements of the Municipal Police received the report about a lifeless person in the ejidal basketball court in the main square of San Vicente, located on Calle 16 de Septiembre and Lázaro Cárdenas of the town in question.
To become aware of the facts, elements of Municipal Public Security attended, who upon arrival met with some people who stated that moments before they had indeed been playing a basketball game with residents of San José del Valle.
However, when they had already finished and were about to sign up for the following matches, “El Doc” approached and said that he was going to play, but shortly afterwards he put his hand to his chest and fell to the ground.
People thought that he was playing himself, since he liked to do push-ups, however, this time they saw that he was unconscious and immediately began to help him, even a colleague of theirs who is a doctor, checked him and gave him first aid but he was already deceased.
One of the friends who was also there grabbed a bicycle and quickly went to the Red Cross to request support, however, he was surprised that no one came out to help him, so he returned to the square where Paramedics from Civil Protection and Firefighters had already arrived aboard unit PC105, under the command of officer Marco Malfavon, who unfortunately confirmed that the man had already died.
Elements of the Prosecutor’s Office as well as personnel from Expert Services arrived at the scene of the events, who took charge of the removal of the lifeless body, once the agent of the Public Ministry on duty gave command and direction that it be taken to the facilities of the SEMEFO for the necropsy of law and to know the causes of death, everything being settled in an approved police report.
