Judo: more than 180 athletes will participate in the Edith-Lucie-Bongo-Ondimba Cup

At the end of the technical meeting which brought together the leaders of the Fécoju-Da and the heads of the departmental leagues, it appears that more than one hundred and eighty judokas will bring into play their know-how and their technicality.

Reserved for all categories as well as all versions, the competition will receive, at the Kintélé sports complex, the best judokas from Brazzaville, Pointe-Noire, Pool, Bouenza, Lékoumou, Niari, the two Cuvettes and of the Sangha.

« Our objective remains the same: to develop judo as a whole. Everyone must wet the jersey to achieve this goal because we are a team. Do not neglect any detail because Congolese judo has suffered too much and young people really want to express their talent “Said the president of Fécoju-Da, Me Francis Ata.

This national competition will be sponsored by the Minister of Sports, Hugues Ngouélondélé. It is the second of its kind after the Republic tournament held on November 28.

Elected on September 4, the executive office spares no effort not only to restore the image of this combat sport but also to successfully execute its sports program. This competition will be held a few days before the return of a delegation from the federation of France where several contracts have been signed.

Note that the first edition of this competition pays tribute to the former first lady of Gabon and daughter of the President of the Republic of Congo, Edith Lucie Bongo Ondimba. With the complete reopening of sports activities, the public is massively invited while respecting the barrier measures against the coronavirus pandemic.
