Biggest corona alarm at HSV since the beginning of the pandemic!
On Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, around ten HSVers complained of malaise and corona-related symptoms. Including professionals and members of the trainer and support staff.
The club then had the entire team drive up to the stadium for so-called drive-in tests in the morning and then immediately sent everyone home. The practice scheduled for 10:30 a.m. has been cancelled.
The PCR results are still pending. Results are expected around noon. Nevertheless, there is already great concern that large parts of the team are likely to be absent with Corona – and that even more people from the team’s environment may have become infected.
If the fear of a widespread infection proves true, HSV’s second division game on Saturday against Erzgebirge Aue could even be cancelled.
After two bankruptcies against direct promotion competitors (2: 3 against Werder and 1: 2 in Nuremberg), HSV urgently needs points to finally pack the fourth attempt to return to the Bundesliga.
