The objective of promoting women’s sailing in our country has led the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation to create a specific circuit dedicated to the Olympic classes with women participating under the name of Women’s Sailing Cup, which will have its premiere in Mallorca this weekend.

With participation in the ILCA6, 470, 49er FX and Nacra17 Olympic classes, there will be more than 40 athletes who will premiere the Cup markers within the Mallorca Sailing Center regatta, whose program includes the dispute of the tests between Friday 11 and sunday the 13th

Both the crews with a female presence and the rest of the sailors that make up the team with which the RFEV works for the Paris Olympic Games (Olympic Team, 2028, and N3 of the National Sports Technification Plan) will participate in this test, which They are currently concentrated in the Balearic Islands as an activity prior to their participation in the Trofeo Princesa Sofía Mallorca.

To this test, organized by the Arenal Yacht Club and the San Antonio de la Playa Maritime Club, will be added the Galician Olympic Week, from October 8 to 11, which will be held at the Galician Sailing Center located in Vilagarcía de Arousa. The Canarian Olympic Week, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, from December 3 to 7, will be the third and last regatta of the 2022 Cup.
