Ferdinand Verdasco got a new victory in the Monterey Challenger. On this occasion, he went to the American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 6-2. The Spaniard won solidly without facing any break points and with a great first serve. In their next meeting, Verdasco will have to face another American, Michael Mmoh, who is currently ranked 244th in the ATP ranking.

Conversely, Tommy Robredo could not with the young french Geoffrey Blancaneauxwho defeated him 6-3, 6-1 in just over an hour.
