Gianlugi Donnarumma vehemently denies the issue of fuss with Neymar in the dressing room. The two Paris Saint-Germain stars are confirmed to be fine.
PSG failed to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals after being eliminated by Real Madrid. In the second leg of the last 16 at the Santiago Bernabeu, Thursday (10/3/2022) early morning WIB, PSG, who had won 2-0 on aggregate in the first half, instead lost by a score of 1-3.
As a result, a 1-0 win in the first leg was in vain because Madrid won 3-2 on aggregate. PSG couldn’t reply to Karim Benzema’s hat-trick in the second half, as well as curtailing Kylian Mbappe’s goal.
That means PSG must harbor their dream of winning the Champions League for the umpteenth time. As usual, there has to be a scapegoat for PSG’s defeat in which Donnarumma and Neymar have come under intense scrutiny.
Donnarumma was responsible for Benzema’s first goal when he had the ball in front of goal for too long. Benzema grabbed it and passed it to Vinicius Junior, before being returned again.
For that blunder, it was reported that Donnarumma was scolded by Neymar in the dressing room. Not accepting his colleague’s attitude, Donnarumma attacked Neymar who was accused of being the culprit of Benzema’s second goal, because the Brazilian’s pass was easily cut off by Luka Modric.
The two even almost got into a fistfight before being separated by their teammates. This situation also made PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi angry because they had just been eliminated.
To reduce this heated situation, Donnarumma then clarified directly to Neymar about the news, which was confirmed to be a hoax.

“Hey Ney, sorry about yesterday’s match. This news is ridiculous,” said Donnarumma in a WhatsApp conversation with Neymar uploaded by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Then Neymar replied: “No problem, mate! Things like this can happen in football. We are all a team and will always support you. You are still very young and have achieved a lot. Keep it up and keep going! Hugs.”
Neymar also denied through uploads on his Instagram stories account.
