We didn’t say 50 million for Fila, they wanted to go to Slavia with Jurásek, says the director to Boleslav. Did they long for Ewerton in Eden?

Mladá Boleslav is to receive a total of about 53 million crowns from Slavia for the transfers of 21-year-old extreme defender David Jurásk and 19-year-old forward Daniel Fila. Plus he has a defender, Kryštof Obadal. The negotiations were long, they managed to catch up on February 10. Both players watched the first eight finals of the Conference League against Linz only from the stands, because they did not fit into the European roster.

Nevertheless, they make a decent impression in Eden, but they also maintain strong ties in Boleslav. Not only are they in contact with former teammates, but they set out to support them, for example, for the cup match in Jablonec. The general director of the Central Bohemian club, David Trunda, describes what happened in Boleslav during the hectic transfer period.

What do you say about the way David Jurásek and Daniel Fila establish themselves in Slavia? Jurásek’s saddle was Sunday’s derby with Sparta, he was one of the best players stitched.

We perceive it positively. We keep our fingers crossed for them to do their best. We are pleased to see that someone from Boleslav can move to Slavia and play there, even though we have resisted for a long time.

Can you describe how Fily and Jurásk transferred to Slavia?

It’s been a long time. We met with Slavia’s management sometime in December, when the first discussion took place on whether to release them. Then we talked to the players, we wanted to know how they approached and how they see the situation. Then we told Slavia that we did not want to develop further negotiations.

Still, their transfer went on, didn’t it?

During January, we discussed the situation in our sports sector and on the board of directors. We wanted to form the right opinion on the further development of both players, because you will not prevent the boys from thinking that Slavia appealed to them. Both players were contacted by the Slavic coach Trpišovský and talked to them. I must say that the negotiations were correct, but in two months we found out that both boys are leaving for Slavia in a head of setting. We knew they would want a transfer. When a player is set up like this, he does not have to give 100% performance. All the time we wanted to choose the best solution for the club and for them. We discussed it with the president (Dufek), with the whole sports sector, the coach. In the end, we decided to let them go. Only then were the individual amounts argued for both.

Did Fila and Jurásek come to you, push you and ask what’s going on?

I think they both behaved correctly and correctly. Dan Fila was set in the direction of Slavia much earlier than David Jurásek, who has a slightly different character. Dan wanted more there. But we felt that David’s interest in the transfer was growing when he saw that Slavia really wanted him. In December, we felt that if they stayed, it would not affect anything. Over time, we were not so sure, especially at Dan, it was clear that he was looking forward to Slavia.

There was speculation that you should have asked for fifty million crowns for Fila in the first moment. It was like that?

It is very important to say that in the first discussions it was not about the price at all. In the first phase, we considered only the sporting benefits for the club and the players themselves. And the amount you mentioned was completely unrealistic, it never fell. We received an offer from Slavia, the proposed amount was correct and we agreed. It wasn’t like we were asking for an extreme amount. In addition, we did not receive the money once, it is divided into four installments over two years and will be immediately reinvested in the staff, the development of the club and the youth academy, which is our alpha and omega.

So are you satisfied overall?

We take it overall. A young defender Kryštof Obadal, who settles here, also came to us. Slavia also sent us Filip Horský, because she saw that we needed an attacker. It was not just one deal, but a collaboration that is developing. It could be interesting.

It was also decided that you would release her former gunner Milan Škoda to Slavia. In the end, it came to an end because he was injured in training. How far were the negotiations started and is it true that you offered Škoda to Eden yourself?

First of all, it is important to say that Milan Škoda has an amazing football career. I met him during my time in Slavia, when we coincidentally also decided to release him somewhere in Dubai. After the agreement with Milan, we ticked it off then, it was important that he stay. Now the President and Milan, too, have dealt with the whole situation. But it was certainly not the case that the idea came from our side, the interest came from Slavia. Milan would return to the club, where he experienced the best part of his career. When we received this offer from Slavia, we discussed it. We said that Milan probably deserved such a return, and if he wanted to, we were ready and willing to talk about it. It was at this stage. Milan and I talked about it, he thought about it, but no major decision was made. Then, unfortunately, he was injured in training and further discussions did not logically develop.

If Skoda left, was Slavia ready to send you back to Fila?

All possibilities were considered, but it was not so specific. Different names fell, we had selected players that we would like from Slavia, but in the finals there was only thought.

Did Slavia want to buy your key midfielder Ewerton at the end of the transfer?

There was a lot of information about it. I even heard or read somewhere that Boleslav’s management did not accept the offer of fifty million. With a clear conscience, I can say that such an offer has never been here. The sale of Ewerton was not discussed at all in the last week of the transfer period, but there was interest from several clubs, including Slavia, in it.

How did he react? Wasn’t he disappointed when he probably felt that Slavia wanted him?

For us, the departure of Ewerton was absolutely nothing. We didn’t think about it, we didn’t solve it, we didn’t talk about it with the player. We immediately stopped the offers that came to him. I believe that this was not a topic for him either and that he was not and will not be affected. Of course, you never know what will happen, but at the moment we see Ewerton fighting and kicking. I think he’s a very important part of the team. We need him to be successful for the rest of the season.
