The Vinotinto Sub-17 said goodbye this Thursday to the CONMEBOL Women’s Sub-17 tournament that is played in Uruguay, with a 6-0 scoreline against the Brazilian team in the closing of group B.
The match that took place at the Charrúa stadium in Montevideo was dominated by the Brazilians, with goals from Ingrid Borges (4′ and 39′), Ana Ferreira (6′), Ana Chaves (29′), Rhaissa Oliveira (65′ ) and Maria Rodrigues (77′).
Those led by Yllenys Pérez, had just beaten Bolivia 2-1, thus adding their only three points in the competition. For its part, Brazil, leader of group B, came from a great victory of five to zero against Paraguay.
Brazilians and Venezuelans have faced each other in the six previous editions of the South American U-17 championship, with the Amazon dominating. In the particular series, the criollas added a victory, a draw and four defeats against the cariocas, in addition to six goals for and 16 goals against before this match, reports the Venezuelan Football Federationin his web page.
This Thursday’s meeting was directed by the Chilean referee Yomara Salazar. On the wings, she was accompanied by Leslie Vázquez, as first assistant, and Marcia Castillo, as second assistant, both from Chile. The fourth referee was the Uruguayan Silvia Ríos.
With the outcome of the group stage, Brazil (12 points) and Paraguay (7), were classified from group B, while Colombia and Chile advanced as leader and runner-up in group A, respectively.
