TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Bogor LavAni made a sweet start in the final four of PLN Mobile Proliga 2022. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s team defeated Jakarta BNI 46 with a score of 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-11) in a match at the Sentul Volleyball Padepokan, Friday, March 11, 2022.

This landslide victory is quite special. Not only because Bogor LavAni is a newcomer team. Before the fight final four this, they are also in trouble.

On Friday morning, via their Instagram account, LavAni’s management announced that four of its players had to be absent due to being positive for Covid-19. They are Doni Haryono, Hendra Kurniawan, Daffa Naufal, and Prasojo.

However, the absence of the four players did not reduce LavAni’s aggressiveness. They finished their inaugural match at final four perfectly: without losing a single set. They won within an hour and 15 minutes.

Garcia Jorge Gonzales became Bogor LavAni’s motorbike in winning points. He contributed 17 points. M Malizi added 14 points, while Leandro Martinus Da Silva had 11 points.

LavAni’s official, Roy Makpal, said that without the four who tested positive for Covid-19, his team was able to perform well because they were motivated to play freely. “And as a result they can compensate,” he said.

Bogor LavAni will still play once again this week. They will face Surabaya Bhayangkara Samator on Sunday, March 13, 2022.

Another schedule for Bogor LavAni will be presented the following week, against Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax.

Final four This season uses a semi-competition format. The four participating teams will meet each other once.

For BNI, 46 defeats this time undermined their chances of qualifying. They have to win the remaining two games to keep their chances and hope the other teams slip as well.

BNI 46 coach, Samsul Jais, admitted that his team was late to warm up. So when you start playing, you make a lot of mistakes, especially many failed services.

“Missing the first set means that it is difficult for us to develop the game in the second and third sets,” added Samsul after the match, as stated in the committee’s release.
