Meet the Judokas from Veracruz who seek victory in Mazatlan in Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi – Diario de Xalapa

A set of 32 judokas from Veracruz traveled to Mazatlan, Sinaloa to compete in the National Tournament of Judo professor “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” that will be from the 11th to the 13th of this month; the group is mostly made up of Xalapeños (19) and is accompanied by 8 trainers.

The delegation is made up of the best in the State of Veracruz from Xalapa, Coatzacoalcos, Minatitlán and Veracruz portthey are also 2022 State Games medalists in the categories Sub 18, Sub 21 and First Force in men’s and women’s.

The trip began on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the direction of Mazatlan and the first competitions of the people of Veracruz will begin this Friday at 9:00 a.m. with the Sub 18 Cadet category and in the afternoon of that same day, the of the Sub 21 Junior. The competitions will continue on Saturday morning with those of the Sub 21 Junior and in the afternoon the First Force will begin their participation, concluding on Sunday afternoon; The delegation will be back in the entity on Monday. The capital of Veracruz will be represented by judokas with extensive experience, to mention, Mauro Alexander Guatemala García in the Sub 18, 90kg category; Dione Danae Rodríguez Cruz, Sub 21, 57kg and Julián Gutiérrez Haid. The three competitors are students of the experienced and national champion, Julián Gutiérrez Palma, who imparts his knowledge to them at the Xallapan Judo Club.
