A young girl was inconsolable after attending a Golden State game without Stephen Curry. A few days later, her idol came to console her personally.
Few basketball players in the history of the NBA embody the joy of playing as much as Stephen Curry. It is not for nothing that the leader of Golden State is nicknamed “The Baby Faced Assassin” – “the assassin with the face of a baby”. His bubbly play and personality made him one of the most popular stars in the league and was enough to move the crowds. Among his many fans are a certain PJ O’Byrne.
This 10-year-old girl, supporter of Golden State, went to Denver to attend the confrontation between her favorite team and the Nuggets, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. But, above all, to see his idol. Unfortunately for her, Curry was eventually rested and was therefore not in the game that night. Hearing the news, little PJ O’Byrne, inconsolable, burst into tears. The footage went viral, so much so that it caught the franchise’s attention. The management of the Warriors thus offered him tickets to attend, with his family, the second confrontation between the two teams, scheduled for the night of Thursday to Friday.
After being installed at the edge of the field, PJ O’Byrne had the immense surprise to see Stephen Curry disembarking to meet her. The double MVP, well and truly aligned this time, personally apologized for his absence a few days earlier. “I’m sorry for this Monday… but we made up for it well, huh?, he said to his interlocutor, dumbfounded and in a state of shock. I hope you’re having a great evening.”
PJ O’Byrne not only got her picture with Curry, as well as an autograph, but she then witnessed a tremendous performance from the latter, the game’s leading scorer at the finish with 34 points. “That’s what the NBA is all about. Our fans are everything, he reacted before leaving the floor. I told her that I appreciated her support and love. I know she was upset on Monday and we had to catch up.”
Finally, it was worth missing the first date, right?
