Andy Murray has been able to come back Taro Daniel with a final result of 1-6, 6-2 and 6-4 in the first round of Indian Wells. It was the third meeting between the two so far this year and it was obvious that they knew each other on the track. The Japanese player won the first set in an overwhelming manner against a Murray who couldn’t finish connecting with his serve. Taro Daniel’s aggressiveness has been calm throughout the match. The British has come to lead the second set by 5-0, with the Japanese disappeared. In the much closer third set, Murray ended up taking the lead when Daniel served to stay in the match.
With this, there are already 700 wins that Andy Murray adds, being the fourth active tennis player on the list. He is surpassed by Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
