The Venezuelan under-18 basketball team is preparing for the South American Championship, 10 days before its debut, they incorporate the pilot Sebastián González into the pre-selection module.

At this time the Creoles are trained in the National Center of High Performance for Basketball or in the José Joaquín Papá Carrillo Gymnasium, under the magnifying glass of the coach Ronald Guillén and his coaching staff who continue to fine-tune details.

Double shifts have been worked to maintain the competitive rhythm that has been handled in recent weeks with friendly matches against professional and semi-professional teams from the country. Different activities have also been carried out outside the tablocillo to evaluate the attitude of each athlete in different contexts that they could face during the South American Championship.

Base Sebastián González arrived from Italy last week, but could not join earlier due to the protocols of biosecurity and COVID-SARS2 prevention of FIBA for the concentration of the selections. The medical part ensures that he is in optimal physical condition to join Guillén’s module, which will analyze his status within the squad.

There are still players to join from abroad, to complete the group that has been concentrated since February 15.

They leave the module Richard Granados (Lara, left due to injury), Dayvier Guevara (Capital District) and Anthoan Urbina (Capital District).
