Latvian striker Dario Shits went to Italy on Friday for a second in the second football league or B-series championship game, in which he represented Parma. Parma did not take the opportunity to win the compensation and played 1: 1 (0: 1) at home against Cittadella.
In early March, 18-year-old Shits made his debut in the B-Series, immediately becoming part of Parma and playing in the first half. In the previous game, he remained on the reserve bench. Giacomo Beretta took the lead in the 26th minute, but in the 81st minute Stanko Jurich reached 1: 1. From the 75th minute, “Parma” played with one football player, because the opponent’s defender Santiago Visentins received a red card.
The player entered the match six minutes before the end of the regular time and immediately played aggressively, trying to take the ball away from the Cittadella goal. At the beginning of the compensation period, Shita’s home side had the opportunity to take a free kick from the right, but later Shits was active against the goal when the opponent played with his hand.
In the second, his shot went wide of the left post. “Parma” takes 13th place in the Italian B-Series tournament table with 35 points in 29 games. So far this season, he has represented the Parma U-19 team, which is participating in the youth “Primavera 2a” championship, where the Latvian football player stood out with 11 goals in 11 matches. He entered the Parma system in the autumn of 2020, but before that he was under the auspices of the Latvian club Metta.
