Salvador Servià will compete in the Costa Brava rally again

After the 69th edition was held last autumn, the Rally Motul Costa Brava is regaining its usual schedule and next week will kick off with Girona and Fornells de la Selva as nerve centers. It will be the start of the season of the European, Spanish and Catalan historical rally championships. Among the 181 teams registered, divided into the categories of Speed, Regularity and Legend, there are big names in motorsport and a prominent female presence. Among the participants are Salvador Servià, Xavi Lorza, Marco Verdelli and Jean François Berenguer, among others. Precisely to encourage and recognize women’s participation in classic motorsport, RallyClassics has launched the MotorDona program. The initiative aims to boost the participation of women in the engine, not only in terms of drivers and co-drivers, but also in the organizational staff.

The race will start on Thursday 17 March in Girona. In the capital, the checks and the start ceremony (18:30) of the rally will take place, which will take place in the closed car park of the Pedret bridge roundabout. In addition, the assistance park, which will be located in the Fornells estate, will remain at the same point as in the previous edition. As a novelty, Fornells will host the Motul Zone, where on the 18th and 19th there will be a circuit of SEAT pedal cars, driving simulators, concerts and children’s games.

As for the route, the Rally will have 12 sections, 6 different, spread over a total of 155 timed km. The Àngels, Santa Pellaia and La Ganga sections will be held on the 18th, while the Osor, Collsaplana and Cladells sections will be held on Saturday the 19th. The test will end the next day, the 20th in Pedret.
