RACKET. Six students from La Frontalière high school will participate in the Provincial School Badminton Championships, which will take place from April 26 to 28, in Amqui.

Coaches Donald Tanner and Jean-François Auger indicate that this is a record delegation for the versatile Coaticookoise. “It shows all the talent of our young athletes and the effort they put into it,” they mention.

Cédrick Lemieux and Alexandra Arsenault have the experience of the provincials, they who won a bronze medal at their participation last year. “Here, we’re going for the gold,” says Cédrick confidently, who teams up with his partner in the mixed juvenile category.

“We prepared a lot, but at this level, everyone excels,” says Alexandra.

Another mixed team will take part in the meetings of this championship, that of Audrey Garneau and Alex Benoit. “We can’t wait to participate,” they say.

Finally, Sandrine Arsenault and Melyna Bellefeuille-Magnan will evolve among the youngest, in women’s doubles.
