LeBron James scores 50 points for the 15th time in his career and the Lakers came from behind in the second half to beat the Wizards 122-109.

LeBron James scored 50 points for the 15th time in his career and the Los Angeles Lakers rallied from behind in the second half to beat the Washington Wizards 122-109 on Friday night.

It was the second consecutive game with at least 50 points at home for James, and the third time he has reached the mark with the Lakers. His season high was the 56 he had in a win over Golden State on Saturday.

James shot 18-for-25 from the field and hit six 3-pointers in 36 minutes. He also had seven rebounds and passed Dikembe Mutombo for 12th place on the NBA’s list of leading defensive rebounders with 8,553.

James fueled his team’s comeback with 12 straight points during a 22-8 run that gave the Lakers an 82-75 lead on the scoreboard with 2:25 remaining.

Malik Monk finished with 21 points and Talen Horton-Tucker had 15 for the Angels.

Kyle Kuzma, who wore the Lakers’ jersey for four seasons, led the Wizards with 23 points, and rookie Corey Kispert had a career-high 21, including five 3-pointers.

Brazilian Raúl Neto had six points, one rebound and four assists for Washington.
