The defending champions from Pilsen led by three goals in the hit round after the even first half. After a change of sides, Karviná managed to turn the score around with a four-goal line, but the home team soon got back into the lead, which they already maintained. The Karviná people lost in the league for the first time after 11 matches, the last time they were not enough was in Lovosice in November. Thanks to the victory, Pilsen maintained its second place and will face Brno in the quarterfinals.
