This Saturday was the deadline of 48 hours given by the Spanish Football Federation to the five founding teams to dissolve the Association of Football Clubs of the Third National Category, a request that, as ABC has learned, has not had a response from Dux Internacional de Madrid, UD San Sebastián de los Reyes, Rayo Majadahonda , Balompédica Linense and Linares Deportivo. The body chaired by Luis Rubialeswhich in last Thursday’s meeting with all the teams in the category threatened the ‘unruly’ with being out of the RFEF First Division next season, plans to meet this week to study all possible scenarios and the consequences for these clubs before his refusal to resign from the aforementioned association.

Although the right of association is guaranteed in the Constitution, the Federation, as this newspaper reported, sent last Thursday to the UEFA and FIFA statutes, referring to the regulatory bases of national competitions, to warn of possible consequences if the promoting clubs did not dissolve the new association within 48 hours. A request that the five clubs have finally not attended.

The five founding clubs of the Association of Football Clubs of the Third National Category They remain silent and do not give explanations publicly, but ABC has been able to confirm from two sources that they have not retracted and continue with their project. Dux Internacional de Madrid, UD San Sebastián de los Reyes, Rayo Majadahonda, Balompédica Linense and Linares Deportivo would be willing to go to court to defend their interests.

The founding teams involved in the association of clubs in this category they deny that with this initiative they go against the Federation and they assure that their only interest is to look for new ways of income. Not everyone shares this appreciation, as was shown at the meeting held in Las Rozas, in which several clubs openly opposed the creation of this association. Among the teams that showed this rejection, as confirmed to ABC by a president of the First RFEFwere Cultural Leonesa, Nástic, UD, Logroñés, Albacete, Barcelona and Alcoyano.

Although after last Thursday’s meeting no new adhesions have been officially known either, Majadahonda Magazin informs that the Royal Union of Irun, owned by Unai Emery and his brother Igor, has decided to join and has already formalized its union with the new association of First RFEF clubs. An invitation that, as ABC has been able to confirm, has been rejected by at least the presidents of three other clubs in the category.

Throughout this week there will be a meeting in the Federation to analyze the situation and the possible consequences for the teams that are part of the Association of Soccer Clubs of the Third National Category. In last Thursday’s meeting with the teams in the category, Rubiales already warned that these teams could be left out of the competition next season and that they could also be left out of the aid granted by the federative body.
