The Mexican Hans Hach Executioner won his first ATP Challenger Tour championship on Mexican soil by winning the doubles modality of the Monterey Openbeside Austin Krajicek.
It took 49 minutes for the champion couple to beat the duet made up of the Australian John-Patrick Smithand the American Robert Galloway in partial sets of 6-0, 6-3.
Hach Verdugo and Krajicek came out focused and were perfect in the first set, where they broke their rivals three times and in just 20 minutes they took it without their rivals offering much resistance.
In the second set, Galloway and Smith put up more of a fight and kept three games, however, the Mexican-American couple never lost the advantage and kept the second set and, consequently, the match.
With this victory, the 32-year-old Mexican won the fourth professional title of his career within the ATP development circuit, and the first on Mexican soil.
In addition, he has a title on the ATP Tour by winning the Los Cabos Open last year with John Isner, and 19 championships on the ITF professional circuit.

The native of Culiacán and a resident of Dallas, Texas, where he trains alongside Krajicek, mentioned during the award ceremony that this championship is very special and will always be unforgettable for him.
“Thank you all for coming to support me, this is my first Challenger that I win here in Mexico, in Monterrey, and I will never forget this day,” said Hach Verdugo.
