There are now ads in NBA 2K21 that you can’t ignore
NBA 2K21 recently started having ads that can’t be ignored.
Players have discovered this in recent days. The ads appear during loading screens and relate to, among other things, the Oculus Quest 2. However, the loading screens don’t seem to display for much longer than usual. Still, many gamers – including on Reddit – are expressing their displeasure with ads for a game they paid a premium price for.
The ads appeared for the seventh episode of MyTeam season 2, a show that aired in-game before a competition. Ads appear on all systems.
2K Games added similar ads to NBA 2K20 after it launched last year. EA did this earlier this year in UFC 4, but decided to remove the ads after negative player feedback.
NBA 2K21 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will also release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S when the consoles launch.
