Things at Boca Juniors never seem to cool down. Internal problems, criticism of players and coach Sebastián Battaglia, and many jabs at Juan Román Riquelme, in charge of the Argentine club’s Football Council.

A few days ago, Mauricio Macri, former president of the club and of Argentina, said that Riquelme “is ruining us”, attacking Riquelme’s management and the presidency of Jorge Amor Ameal.

Well, this Sunday, Jorge el ‘Patrón’ Bermúdez had strong words against Macri, recalled his management as governor of the Argentines and made it clear that when he presided over Boca he never loved Riquelme.

The former Colombian soccer player, who is part of the Boca Soccer Council, spoke with the Argentine media before the match in which Boca visited Estudiantes de La Plata.

“The truth is that it surprises me a lot and afterwards I feel a lot of things in my chest. I love this country although I am Colombian, I have an Argentine son who was born in this land and I am very grateful. I am surprised that the president who historically indebted Argentina the most, and that is why he cannot give lessons to anyone about how it is managed, comes out to talk about our club, ”said the ‘Patrón’ to the press.

Bermúdez added that “it surprises me because when we arrived, the club was not in financial order and now it is. In fact, we brought in high-level players. Things are being done well at the club, we were champions three times, we have two or three finals ahead of us that we don’t know when we’re going to play them and a lot more experience, and the only thing our friend can think of to do is go out and criticize ”.
