MLB: Third baseman Josh Donaldson traded from Twins to Yankees

The New York Yankees acquired veteran third baseman Josh Donaldson from the Minnesota Twins on Sunday.

In return for Donaldson, shortstop Isaiah Kiner-Falefa and receiver Ben Rorvedt, the Yankees traded receiver Gary Sanchez and third baseman Gio Urshela in this mega trade.

Journalist Ken Rosenthal, of The Athleticwas the first to report the news.

The 36-year-old Donaldson will be in his sixth Major League Baseball roster, after Oakland, Toronto, Cleveland, Atlanta and Minnesota.

In Kiner-Falefa’s case, he was acquired from the Texas Rangers on Saturday by the Twins in exchange for receiver Mitch Garver.
