Anirban Lahiri leads with a blow in the middle of the 3rd round

The 2022 edition of the Players Championship will come to an end. No interruption of play this Sunday, the players were able to complete their 2nd round and start their 3rd for those who crossed the cut. With 25 holes to play, the Indian Anirban Lahiri (-9) takes the lead. Five under par for his third round, Lahiri, 34, would claim his first PGA Tour win if successful at TPC Sawgrass. The Indian is only one stroke ahead of Americans Tom Hoge and Harold Varner III (-8), both of whom have completed nine holes.

Munoz and Molinari in form

Sebastian Munoz and Francesco Molinari are the two in-form men behind Lahiri. The Colombian is fourth at -7 overall, with a third round that he completes six strokes under par after 14 holes played. The Italian is seventh, one stroke behind Munoz and plays his third round at -5, with three holes remaining. The two currently move up 31 and 28 places in the standings thanks to their good moving day. The third round is scheduled to resume this Monday at 8 a.m. local time, or 1 p.m. in France.
