Georgia passes the car in Michigan and has a rematch against Alabama in the final of College Football

Considered to be the most even match between the two semifinals, the match between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Michigan Wolverines at the Orange Bowl in Miami, this night of the year, started surrounded by great anticipation. Eyes were on Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan’s Top 5 defensive end, but who stole the show was Georgia’s spectacular defense and an unlikely Stetson Bennett, a Georgia quarterback who didn’t even start the season as a starter.

The game

On the first Drive, Bennett showed chemistry with first year Brock Bowers, taking the Bulldgos’ attack forward until it culminated in a touchdown from Bowers himself, in connection with the left flat. Cade McNamara, meanwhile, struggled with Georgia’s defense and Michigan’s offense collided with the SEC’s elite defensive line.

Georgia took the opportunity to score again. This time, with a trick play from RB Kenny Mcintosh, throwing a pass for Adonai Mitchell to score an 18-yard touchdown.

With Cade McNamara adrift due to pressure from Georgia’s front seven, the run not going in and Michigan’s offense stagnant, the match became more complex for the Wolverines. Offensively, Georgia was unforgiving and scored in all five drives she had in the early stage. To close the opening stage with a flourish, the Bulldogs extended the score after an interception by Derion Kendrick, giving back the ball to Georgia’s offensive. Stetson Bennett then connected a long pass for Jermaine Burton to score a 57-yard touchdown: 27-3.

In the second half, Georgia only controlled the match and there was no scoring in the third quarter. The last quarter started with Georgia intercepting McNamara once more, and again with Derion Kendrick. If you have a turnover, you have a touchdown. Running back James Cook caught a pass and covered 39 Yards to make it 34-3 on the scoreboard.

Michigan switched quarterbacks and it had an effect. With JJ McCarthy in charge, Michigan’s offense quickly began to flow and soon connected a 35-yard long pass for Andrel Anthony to score the Touchdown, and they still managed to successfully convert the two points, but it was too late: 34-11 for Georgia becomes Orange Bowl champion and College Football finalist.

The final is set: Alabama v Georgia. This will be Georgia’s chance to avenge the 2018 championship, where it lost to Alabama in the last quarter in a game that Tua Tagovailoa commanded an impressive comeback. In addition, Georgia has also been dominated by Bama this season, with Crimson Tide having been responsible for the Bulldogs’ only defeat on College Football in 2021.
