Badminton: a fruitful weekend for the Vulkins

Saturday, March 12 was stormy day in Quebec, but in Saint-Hyacinthe, the storm was purple.

Indeed, during the last singles tournament, the Mauves performed very well. In women’s singles division 2, Jolyanne Roberge easily savored the victory. She beat her teammate Clara Bédard in the final. Since the return to training, Jolyanne has made great progress.

In men’s singles division 2, three Vulkins found themselves in the semi-finals. Zachary Charest defeated his teammate Loïc Langlois to face Cédric Garand who had won the first singles tournament. It was an epic final and Garand won in three sets.

In Division 1, it was an excellent performance by Nicolas Bédard who reached the round of 16. His game was inspired and the work done in practice paid off. As for Pierre Philipe Dusseault, he lost in the semi-finals in a very close match.
