In addition to Brescia, Buscaglia also coached in Serie A Reggio Emilia and Trento. With L’Aquila, an over ten-year path in two different experiences, one of which is consecutive from 2010 to 2019 and in which he obtained several promotions, five Playoffs and two consecutive Scudetto finals (2017-2018). In 2016 he was appointed best coach of the Eurocup, after hitting the semifinals and only giving in to SIG Strasbourg for two points in the double return match. Since 2019 Buscaglia is also the head coach of the Dutch national team.

Gevi Napoli Basket announces that it has entrusted the technical leadership of the team to Coach Maurizio Buscaglia.
Buscaglia, born in Bari on April 9, 1969, began his career in the youth sector of the Perugia Griffin. Since 2003, after his experiences in Piove di Sacco and Mestre, he has been training the Aquila Trento for four years, winning a promotion in the B2 series. After being back in Perugia, still hitting the promotion in Serie B1, he returns to Trento in 2010 starting a very long experience ended in 2019. With the Trentino team Buscaglia reaches two promotions, passing from Serie B to Serie A, winning five times the playoffs in the top flight, reaching the Scudetto Final in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. In the 2015 season Buscaglia won the Best Coach of Serie A award and in 2016 he was elected Best Coach of Eurocup, bringing the Aquila Trento to the semifinals.
After the experience in Trentino, in 2019-2020 Buscaglia trains the Reggiana Basketball and, subsequently, in the 2020-2021 season, Germani Brescia. During the current season Buscaglia coached the Israeli team of Hapoel Holon. Furthermore, since 2019, Coach Maurizio Buscaglia is head coach of the Dutch national team.
