Malemort. Four athletes from the Vigilante Malemort Judo in the spotlight. The Kagami Biraki was held in Brive. This ceremony of wishes introduced in 1884 by Jigoro Kano is still today a moment of gathering expected and appreciated by judokas.
Four athletes from Vigilance Malemort Judo were honored. Victor Guelho and Thierry Varsi received their Professional Qualification Certificate, validating their teaching skills.
Nicolas Guelho received the diploma of interleague sports commissioner and Quentin Dubois the diploma of departmental sports commissioner. Victor started judo at the age of 4 and then jujitsu at 13. Black belt since 2017, he is currently aiming for his 3 e dan. Sports commissioner, manager, club assistant and now a teacher, he is a great enthusiast. Thierry, meanwhile, resumed judo twenty years ago with Jean Claude Soulard, founder of the VMJ. The latter supported him in obtaining his belt and he is currently 2 e dan. He is also very involved in the club, supervising, assistant club, teacher and even Vice-president.
Nicolas started judo at the age of 4 and has his black belt 1 e dan since 2014. Involved in sports commissioning since 2013, he rose through the ranks from the departmental level to reach the interregional (interleague). Finally, Quentin started judo at the age of 4, blue belt and engaged in sports curating since 2016 to reach the departmental level.
