Lionel Messi to Barcelona? Laporta’s blunt response

The president of Barcelona once again mentioned the best player in the world and pointed to a possible return of Messi: “We are building a team with young people”.

Lionel Messi began a convulsive season that included his departure from Barcelona to play in the Paris Saint-Germain within a transfer that does not take place in the way desired by the last whistles suffered by the Argentine by the French fans and his return to Barcelona was something that began to be speculated, although the president of the club, Joan Laporta, deactivated it.

Laporta ruled out a possible return of Messi to Barcelona

In dialogue with RAC1, the main leader of the Blaugrana completely ruled out this possibility: “We didn’t think about it. We are building a new team, with young people”. In this sense, he clarified that he deserves “I respect” for everything achieved in the entity and was excited that he would say present at the inauguration of the new Camp Nou.

“I don’t talk to him, I don’t have fluid communication like before he left”Laporta whitewashed and deepened his links with the Rosario star: “There is no personal contact, I remember him with affection and I hope he does too. For me it was not easy, I would have liked things to be different, but, as they happened, I thought that the first thing was the institution and I think we did what we had to do”.

“Haaland and Mbappé didn’t tell me about their desire to come to Barcelona”

In the midst of the dance of names that surrounds a new pass market, Joan Laporta referred to the situation of the Barcelona who did not specify any center forward, despite having Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé as alternatives in that position.

On the last two, Laporta was asked who he chose: “Whoever is clear that he wants to play for Barça. Anyone who wants to come here. To this day, neither of them has passed them on to me. What I have received are economic conditions that we will not accept under any circumstances”. On the other hand, he concluded with the Liverpool and Bayern Munich players: “They are great players. All good footballers want to come to Barça. I won’t need any of this. I don’t want to make it difficult.”
