It is not a matter of course how well Towers forward Lukas Meisner is currently performing. “These were definitely difficult months,” says the 26-year-old about his ordeal, which began in February 2021.
A shoulder injury required an operation on the 2.03 meter man, who had just made his national team debut at the time. In the summer, the towers grabbed Meisner, who had to start almost from scratch again in Hamburg. At his ex-club Braunschweig top scorer and captain and at the Towers only second fiddle – Meisner had to deal with that first. The lack of confidence became a problem.
Towers forward Lukas Meisner has been in impressive form for weeks
Now the people of Wilhelmsburg finally get to see the real Meisner. The three-man specialist has averaged 17 points in the past five games. He’s now one of the mainstays in the Towers game. Confidence in one’s own strengths is back, which is what Meisner is most pleased about: “I’m extremely happy to be able to deliver what I can.”
