In a performance that bordered on honors, Ravachol Pontevedra managed to seal their participation for one more season in the Liga Nacional de Clubes, after winning 1-6 away against UD Ibiza-Badminton Pitius.
The Pontevedra formation gave no respite from the beginning and subdued their Balearic rivals from the first point, reaching 2-0 in the aggregate without giving up a single set, with victories in the mixed doubles (Javier Sánchez and Lucía Rodríguez) and in the feminine (Rodríguez, again, with Ania Setién).
The most complicated set was for the men’s couple in the third match, made up of Javier Sánchez and Manuel Brea, who came down two sets to one. Finally, they prevailed in the last two sets by 9-11 and scored the third point in the electronic for Ravachol.
From then on, the dominance of the Pontevedra team was remarkable, especially in the women’s matches, with two victories by Georgina Eileen and Ania Setién.
Ibiza managed to make up the final result with a point in the last match, where Marc Cardona beat Manuel Brea in five sets.
