Chetumal.- When playing day 5 of the Veterans Basketball League “Prof. Manuel Sabido Pérez”, the Uro-Team team played a pending game where they won a 67-52 victory over the Vasectomizers, a result with which they climbed to first place in the general table.
In the match, even from beginning to end, the quintet commanded by Ramón Mata managed to maintain the advantage until securing the victory, being this same player who ended up as the MVP of the match by scoring 20 points in his personal account, while Rodolfo Vera responded by the defeated with 16 personal units.
In another confrontation, the Telecomm team added victory by beating the Caribeños with a final score of 44 points out of 35. Mario Campas was the best scorer of the day by scoring 23 individual points, while Álvaro Muñoz for the rival team managed score 8 points for your team.
With these results, Uro-Team leads the table with 9 points and a difference of 66 points, followed by the Pacers Cecyte with 9 points and a difference of 34; in third place is Telecomm with 8 units, followed by the Infernales de Bacalar and the Caribeños, both with 6 points; in the last place of the table are the Vasectomizers with 4 units, still without wins in the competition.
The sixth day of the competition will begin next Sunday, April 3, starting at 10 in the morning with the match between the Pacers Cecyte against Telecomm; at 11:30 am, the Uro-Team will defend its leadership against the Infernals of Bacalar and, at 1:00 pm, the Vasectomizers close the day of the week against the Caribeños.
