The Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters manager flies a hovercraft onto the Sapporo Dome pitch ahead of his team’s home opener against the Saitama Seibu Lions.
Shinjo, who had the alias “Big Boss” approved as a registered name for the 2022 season by Nippon Professional Baseball, played three seasons in MLB from 2001 to 2003 with the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants.
