Registration for a new face-to-face edition of the Buenos Aires Games is open

This Tuesday, the director of Culture of the Municipality Jorge Fernandezthe sports director Alexander Violathe director of Public Policies for People with Disabilities Lujan Bouciguezand the director of Senior Citizens, Sonia Martinezprovided details on the 31st edition of the games.

The main objective of the competition is to include and integrate young people, older adults, people with disabilities and university students in cultural practice through healthy competition, this time in person.

The regional stage will take place during the months of July and August, while the final stage will be as always in the city of Mar del Plata, the first week of October.

The Buenos Aires Games 2022 They have 39 disciplines for youth athletes, including 12 for university students and 9 for people with disabilities.

Among the sports disciplines are: Aquathlon; Chess; Athletics; Badminton; Basketball; Basketball 3×3; Beach volleyball; basketball; Basketball 3×3; Futsal; Soccer 5; Football 11; football tennis; Beach Soccer; Artistic gymnastics; Handball; beach handball; Hockey; Swimming; Padel (youth and older adults); Roller skate; Ball; Resistance; Rugby; softball; Tennis; Table tennis and volleyball.

On the other hand, the cultural disciplines are: Circus art; Plastic arts: Drawing, Art object, Painting, Mural; Chefs from Buenos Aires: main course and dessert; folk dance; Tango; Photography; Freestyle; Rap; Literature: story and poetry; Malambo; Music: rock, cumbia ensemble, vocal soloist; stand-up; Theater; videominute; Oral and stage narration.

People with disabilities may also enroll in wheelchair basketball; Boccia; Football for people with intellectual disabilities; Soccer for people with down syndrome and PC Soccer; Goalball and sitting volleyball.

While the Older Adults can participate in Bowls; Burakō; Hike; pop choreography; Chin–Chon; Ladies; 15 broom; Newcom orientation fishing; Pentathlon; Toad; Taba; Elderly shuffleboard and Truco.

In this edition returns the “School Mode”, through articulation with the General Directorate of Culture and Education of the Province of Buenos Aires. In this way, young people from Buenos Aires will be able to represent their institution in different sports and cultural disciplines.

In turn, new disciplines such as Resistance were incorporated; Wrestling, Shooting, Beach Handball, Beach Soccer (female) and Rugby (female).

Entries to participate can be made throughout the month of April at the headquarters of the Directorate of Culture, located at Güemes 35, from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; at the Sports Department from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., located in the República de Venezuela Complex; and in the Public Policies for People with Disabilities, located at Av. San Martín 955, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
