The Opening Day of the 2022 season of the champions of the MLBthe Atlanta Bravesante los Cincinnati Reds, will be broadcast nationally on ESPN next April 7.
After earning their first title since 1995, the Braves will unveil their champion pennant before the game, thus delaying the start a little bit around 7:20 pm in the Eastern time of the United States.
ESPN said Tuesday that it had added the game because it was not in its original time slot.
Opening Day had to be rescheduled after the work stoppage was extended to 99 days and forced a reorganization of the Major League schedule. In addition, the start of Spring Training also had to be rescheduled from February 16 to March 13.
