Mediolanum New Rimini Baseball, on the eve of the second year in Serie A, presented at the Galli Theater in Rimini the new adventure that will start next weekend in Godo, with Game 2 broadcast live on FibsTV. Also present to greet the new adventure were the Mayor of Rimini Jamil Sadegholvaad and the councilor for Sport Moreno Maresi. The home debut will take place at the municipal stadium in Rimini against Modena, the following week. The formula of Serie A
The formula for next season foresees four initial groups, in which two top seeds, one newly promoted and five teams from the 2021 salvation pool are inserted. The group will be one-way (2 games of 9 innings). The first 2 classified will reach the Scudetto pool (2 groups of 4, with first leg, intergirone and return, with 3 weekly matches out of 7 innings). Then crossed semifinals and finals (best of 7 games out of 7 innings). The other 24 teams (the number is varying due to waivers that could also modify the salvation phase) will be divided into 4 groups (home and away, 2 games per week out of 9 innings). The last 2 will cross in the play outs to the best of 5 games, the losers will be relegated. The 16 salvoes will play the Italian Cup with the losers returning to the game in the scudetto semifinals.
