Marie-Antoinette Katoto shines, Léa Schüller remains extinct: find the tops and flops of PSG-Bayern (2-2).
TOPS
Marie-Antoinette Katoto: once again decisive
Sometimes it’s not the scorers who shine the most. Tonight we could have rewarded Sandy Baltimore for his splendid goal in the 17th minute. We could also have highlighted Ramona Bachmann who offers the qualification to the Parisiennes 8 minutes from penalties. We could have but tonight we had to talk about Marie-Antoinette Katoto who as often within reach of her team. The 23-year-old striker won most of her aerial duels, had 2 of her 3 evening shots on target and offered 2 key assists including one for Sandy Baltimore who will finish in Janina Leitzig’s goal. With her double in the first leg, the number 9 is involved in 3 of the 4 goals in the double confrontation against Bayern Munich. By far the best Parisian of this quarter-final of the Champions League.
Klara Bühl Munich’s most dangerous
Arguably Bayern Munich’s most dangerous player. The number 17 who had already scored in the first leg hurt very badly on her left side. She won 9 of her 15 duels, managed 4 of her 5 dribbles and offered 2 key assists to her teammates. She is the one who puts doubt in the minds of the Parisiennes thanks to her goal scored in the 54th minute and really knew how to carry her team when they were in trouble. At 21, she is involved in 5 goals in 6 Champions League games and will probably be to follow this summer at the Euro with Germany.

FLOPS
Léa Schüller, disappointing in the last gesture
Complicated match for the Munich center-forward who was unable to make the difference despite the difficulties of the central hinge of Paris Saint-Germain. The German international (37 caps) was eagerly awaited but only framed one of her 4 shots in the evening and lost more than half of her balls. This evening Bayern Munich returns to Germany with a statistic that hurts: 70% of German shots were off target, Léa Schüller’s match illustrates this perfectly.
Paulina Dudek in the hard from start to finish
Beaten in most of her duels (4 duels won out of the 10 in the evening) the Parisian defender did not shine and was often put in difficulty by the Bayern Munich attack. She is particularly guilty on the header of Schüller which leads to the goal of Saki Kumagai in the 19th minute. She was replaced in the 105th minute by Elisa De Almeida who was able to be reassuring in the last minutes of the game.
