“My team and I have been speaking to medical experts since my departure from Miami due to a right hand injury,” Matteo Berrettini wrote in an Instagram post.
“After several scans and assessments, we have decided that a minor operation is the best solution to ensure a full and speedy recovery,” added the Italian.
Berrettini stressed that the operation went “extremely well”.
