The Sky Sports Park facility expansion project in Jung-gu, Incheon is cruising.
According to the district on the 30th, the district completed the change and design of the park development plan last year to expand the sports facilities and convenience facilities in the Sky Sports Park located in Jungsan-dong, Yeongjong Sky City, and construction is progressing smoothly.
Earlier, in response to the increase in the population of Yeongjong International City and the needs of residents, the district is carrying out the ‘Haneul Sports Park Facility Expansion Project’, which adds gateball and inline skating rinks to Sky Sports Park in addition to the existing soccer, futsal, basketball, and badminton courts.
This is to provide a pleasant sports park to local residents through the expansion of various living sports spaces and parking lots, which are major convenience facilities. Accordingly, the city started the project in earnest in October of last year by investing 2.5 billion won in project expenses, including fertilization.
In addition, in connection with the facility expansion project of the Sky Sports Park, the artificial turf of the soccer field and futsal field using sports funds was completely replaced, contributing to the improvement of the sports environment for adults, youth and youth using the stadium.
Jung-gu mayor Hong In-seong said, “I promise to carry out the project normally so that it can become a more comfortable rest and healing space for many residents who use the Sky Sports Park to soothe their body and mind exhausted from COVID-19.” To improve the quality of life, we will promote various park and greenery projects.” / Reporter Kang Geum-woon
