Revitalize the local economy with the Flopia Sports Festival
[신안=아시아경제 호남취재본부 최재경 기자] Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do was selected for the 2022 regional specialized sports tourism industry promotion contest organized by the National Sports Promotion Agency.
The military secured a total of 3 billion won (1.5 billion won from the fund, 1.5 billion won from local expenses) for three years from this year by selecting this public offering.
The regional-specific sports tourism industry fostering project is a project that promotes regional development by developing new sports tourism programs that link the region’s core tourism resources and leisure sports.
The county runs a variety of programs under the theme of ‘Flopia, which blooms in all four seasons,’ in conjunction with the 1 Do 1 Museum policy.
If you look at the regional programs, Bigeum and Docho areas include Cycling Granfondo, a non-competitive club competition, central area badminton league, Jaeun Island marine leisure sports festival, Imjado Beach Horseback Riding Festival, Anjwado Purple Island Healing Walk, etc.
In addition, as it is a program aimed at various events such as flower festivals and the holiday season, it is expected to provide a variety of sights and things to enjoy to tourists as well as sports enthusiasts across the country.
An official from Shinan-gun said, “We will do our best to revitalize the local economy through sports tourism and to develop 1004 island Shinan into a national tourist destination.”
