The “Little Sports Visitors” program is aimed at students and children of both sexes throughout the province. It is a Child-Youth Social Tourism Program that aims to enable a sector of the population, access to sports, recreational and tourist activities, promoting their psycho-physical and social development, contributing to the prevention of social problems.
The students of the Raúl Vélez de General Güemes Basketball School visited the Cable Car Complex and after the activities a dinner was prepared for them at Legado Güemes. They then went to the Delmi sports center where they watched the Salta Basket match against Central Argentino Olímpico de Ceres. Likewise, the boys enjoyed the meeting and took photos with the players.
“This program is an important tool that facilitates access to sports, recreational and tourist activities for school-age children,” said the Undersecretary of Sports, Romina Arroyo. In any case, he said that the children were very happy to witness the Salta Basketball game and that many of them got to know the capital of Salta for the first time.
At the same time, adapted basketball athletes from the Gymnastics and Shooting school and the Bacigalupo Foundation were also present.
The group was coordinated by Alejandro Chilo, head of the Social Tourism Subprogram of the Sports Secretariat; Professor Enrique Moreno from the Güemes basketball school and the children’s parents.
