Apple has announced that the documentary about rising basketball star Makur Maker will debut Friday, April 22 exclusively on Apple TV+.
The documentary is entitled ” The Long Game: Bigger Than Basketball and all five parts will be available on day one. The documentary is an intimate look into Makur Maker’s life as a student athlete dreaming of reaching the NBA, as unexpected physical challenges and a global pandemic threaten his college career. Curiously, on the same day, the documentary on Magic Johnson, titled ” They Call Me Magic will also debut.
Still on Apple TV+, the company unveiled the trailer for ” It’s the Small Things, Charlie Brown“, a new special on “Peanuts” which will be broadcast on Apple TV+ to celebrate Earth Day in 2022.
The new “Charlie Brown” special will be available to stream on April 15, a week before Earth Day, which takes place on April 22. In this special, Charlie’s sister, Sally Brown, interrupts a baseball game when she sees a small dandelion growing on the field. Despite all the pressure from everyone around her, Sally insists on protecting the flower.
It’s no coincidence that the special has something to do with baseball, which debuts on TV+ in April. The new special features an original song written especially for the series by singer-songwriter Ben Folds.
