Tony Parker reveals his best European 5, Rudy Gobert doubly snubbed!

NBA Ambassador to the World, Tony Parker was recently asked about the best Europeans of all time. The quadruple NBA champion thus revealed his two all-time teams, with the notable absence of Rudy Gobert. It must be said that the competition is fierce.

Tony Parker is undoubtedly the best French player in history, and one of the best Europeans of all time. Playmaker of the Spurs dynasty, he has no less than 4 NBA titles, and he is the first talent from the Old Continent to win the title of Finals MVP. He could even have added a second to his list in 2013 if Ray Allen had not returned a historic shot for the Heat.

Despite this big regret in his career, TP is a legend on the court, and he has decided to become an ambassador for the NBA abroad, a role in which he can show young people around the world that joining the NBA and succeeding there is possible. In this context, he is particularly busy at the moment, since the league is chaining events for its 75th anniversary.

Tony Parker doesn’t put Rudy in the NBA’s top 10 Europeans

Currently taking place for example the election of the best European players of all time. TP was questioned by our colleagues from The Team on this subject, and he gave his two best 5s. There are obvious names, like Dirk Nowitzki and Pau Gasol, but not his compatriot Rudy Gobert, who has been excellent for several years.

I put myself as leader in the first team, back I choose Drazen Petrovic, on the wing Giannis Antetokounmpo, as a strong winger I will put Dirk Nowitzki, and finally pivot I choose Pau Gasol. In the second team I put Luka Doncic, Toni Kukoc on the wing, Arvydas Sabonis at the pivot position, I also put Jokic and finally Peja Stojakovic.

Tony Parker has made his two European All-Time teams and Rudy Gobert does not feature in either, despite his numerous individual accolades and his place among the greatest defenders of all time. It must be said that there is competition with Pau Gasol, legend of the Lakers, Arvydas Sabonis and Nikola Jokic, MVP last season. By the way, these three monsters are in the fan team at the moment.

For Tony Parker, Rudy Gobert would not yet be among the greatest Europeans in NBA history. It must be said that he has to face competition from MVPs and NBA champions, two trophies that he does not yet have…
