FIBA AmeriCup 2022 Groups:
Group A: Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Canada
Group B: Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Argentina
Group C: Mexico, Venezuela, Panama, United States
In addition to determining the best team in the Americas, the competition will award seven places to the next Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile 2023.
The United States will defend the gold medal it won in 2017, while Brazil will once again host the event, after not having been since 1984.
Colombia, led by Guillermo Moreno, will play the AmeriCup for the first time, after having qualified in March 2021 after beating Chile, Venezuela and Argentina in the previous round.
