Tijuana BC.- In a symbolic ceremony, the women’s and men’s flag teams, as well as the men’s basketball team of the Tijuana Technological University (UTT), received from the rector, Javier Santillán Pérez, the uniforms that they will wear in the current season of competitions.
The flag teams are registered in the Baja California Flag Leagueunder the guidance of coach Jorge López Denis, while the basketball team participates in the XVII Sunday Tournament ARVANGwhich takes place in the Banking Sports Center, who are trained by Professor Óscar Javier del Cid.
The rector thanked the students who dedicate part of their time to represent the UTT in these competitions, while continuing to make an effort in their studies. He stressed that activities such as sports are an important complement to their comprehensive training, in addition to reinforcing the sense of belonging to the institution.
Wearing the university shirt is a great commitment, because you are representing the institution out there. I want to ask you that when people see this shirt and this number they see in you loyalty, will, teamwork and, above all, honesty, because those are the values that the university represents”

He also urged them to be disciplined and heed the instructions of their coaches, while wished them success in all his competitions.
On behalf of the women’s flag team, Naidelyne Martínez and María Fernanda Díaz received their uniforms, and on behalf of the men’s team, Antonio Vargas and Daniel Villalobos, who will premiere it this weekend, also, on behalf of the men’s basketball team, they gave the uniforms to Brandon Gámez, Efrén Andrés and Daniel Pérez.
The direction of University Extension, through sports coordination, ensured that the design of the uniforms had distinctive elements of the institution’s mascot, the ravens, such as the wings, claws and color of said birds.
In a symbolic way, students gave the rector the shirts of the of the disciplines with number one, who endorsed their commitment to bring the best sports results to the UTTwithout neglecting their academic level.
