The organizers of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games have, this Friday, lifted the veil on the calendar of events.

Saturday and Sunday August 3 and 4 already shine in the calendar as unmissable events with finals in tennis, table tennis, judo, fencing, athletics, archery, shooting, cycling, golf, horse riding, rowing, artistic gymnastics, badminton and swimming.

The women’s and men’s team sports finals (field hockey, handball, football, beach volleyball, volleyball, basketball and water polo) will take place over four days, between Thursday 8 and Sunday 11 August.

Place de la Concorde (3×3 basketball, freestyle BMX, breaking, skateboarding) will host events “almost non-stop” (with skateboarding opening, breaking closing). Next to the iconic sites of the Eiffel Tower (beach volleyball) and the Invalides (archery).

As for the timetable, the organizers indicate that “ the competitions will never start in the morning before 7:30 a.m., and will end no later than 11:30 p.m. during the week, and at midnight on Friday and Saturday evenings. The swimming and athletics finals will be held in the evening.

Only the preliminary phase of the basketball events remains for the moment accompanied by a question mark, for lack of place after the abandonment of Hall 6 of the Parc des Expositions de Versailles.

The final schedule for the 2024 Olympic Games will be unveiled at the end of the first half of 2022.
