Bronze medalist at the minimal regional championship, Nolan Maunoury had obtained his qualification for the national level. Last Saturday in Villebon-sur-Yvette (91) he took part in the minimal French Cup, category -38 kg. He proudly defended his chances against the cream of French judo. Unfortunately, he will bow in the 1/16is in the final against the future third in the category. “A great experience for this young judoka who will therefore have the reward of being one of the 30 best French judokas in his category”, confides Pierre-François Hubert his trainer. Being a minimal first year, he promised himself to come back next year and to claim a better place.
