On its website, the Belgian Football Union has published the amounts of commissions paid to agents over the past year. Over the past twelve months, Pro League clubs (D1A and D1B) have paid 33 million euros in commissions to agents, whether on outgoing or incoming transfers.
All of this out of a total of €150m spent on inbound transfers and €198m collected on players sold.
While this amount seems high, it has nevertheless been revised downwards compared to last year when clubs spent 38 million on agent commissions.
Among the clubs, Anderlecht paid the most compensation to agents with 4.4 million euros, just ahead of Antwerp with 3.7 million euros.
